Disco 2 headlights on a d1.

I really like the idea of d2 lights on my d1 instead of just getting a hid kit for mine any-one done it before had a quick search didn't find anything.

What ones, early or facelift?

Early ones go straight on a 300tdi, facelift ones need some fettling. Its been done so just do a search

Just the single unit ones I have a facelift d1 and my lights ain't as bright as my bmw's hid kit. So was gonna just add a bit to mine when getting hids

Also TD5s replace the silver reflector type of the 300tdi ones, (XBC105130 ) ...

so if you upgrade your 300Tdi lights you can get some money back by selling on your old ones ..

Early td5 ones are straight swop did on mine , much better looking and i thinks brighter, later td5 ones are much more of a pain, lots of cutting and praying, also belive the HID ones are illegal as they are not self levelling

I've got the face lift one's fitted to mine and they woz a vast improvement but they got even better once i fit a hid kit as well lololol

Here is a pic of mine showing the facelifted headlights fitted.

Also took them apart and fitted projector lenses so I could run xenon's without any glare etc

you can get the plates the lights fit to from YRM solutions for not too much.
i did myn, 200tdi lights to 300tdi

i changed my orginal d2's square lights for the facelift one, bit of cutting with a recipatating saw, bought electrical connectors to plug in, sprayed the new under trim and fitted, bit of tweeking, job was a good un, i bought both lights and trim off the internet, you have to watch which light units you get as some are not self adjusting, but what an improvment, you could see a lot better than the orginal d2's square one, and made car look younger, i did it 3 year ago,should of took photo's
have now an 04 pursuit, not as many problems!! no sunroofs, no ace
front lights steam up, will have to look at that
