Hi td5 gurus can anyone tell me the correct priming sequence following the fitting of the in tank pump. The car runs but dies like its sucking air. I 1st turned ignition on and waited untill the pump went quiet then started it. If it then dies its a sod to start. Any advice is welcome at this stage.

Turn ignition on 2 then push completely and consecutively the throttle 5-6 times utill the MIL starts flashing then wait untill it stops(around 3 minutes) then ctrank it.

Ok primed it properly and ran ok but lost power half a mile then cut out again. Changed fuel regulator and diaphram still cuts out. After its cut out you prime it 3 or 4 times and it will run for half a mile. So in tank pump changed fuel regulator changed fuel filter changed. Had noticed a lot of blue smoke now tho.

presuming pump and filter have pipes connected in the right order,id change air bleed valve as a matter of course and injector washers plus orings

pump from left as you look at white, green ,blue, black
filter head inside front return from head, outside front filter to hp pump black, outside rear white air bleed valve return, inside rear blue lp pump feed to filter

Yea they right, i think mines alternator, when in 2nd position on key battery light doesn’t go out like it should before starting, so borrowing a charger and charging battery if it starts I know it’s that! 99.9% sure it is, have a feeling!
