Re the initial tickover RPM -yes it returns to normal 680~690 RPM after 20 secs, prior to the cure it was only managing about 800 and then falling to 450~500.
No I hadn't changed the MAF.
The subject on the Camshaft sensor is also very interesting as this could be the problem I have been experiencing with slight missfiring and slight juddering when in auto(top) around the 1800~ 2000 RPM mark. Previously I had changed the HT leads and plugs and had changed the plug gap settings from 1.0mm. to 0.6mm. This then changed the RPM (miss fire an shuddering) to the 1500~ 1800 RPM range.Will need to get the diagnostic Code reader and check if the sensor is showing fault.
