We had a defender in recently for repairing damage from the attempted theft and I just thought I'd share the photos of the disc lock for reference if that's ok unless some one thinks it's a bad idea showing the damage??
I'll wait and see what people think before putting the pics up so just let me know

Can put bigger pics of these up if wanted
And just to confirm , they didn't get passed this lock that's why the car was still there . Good job as I've got two of these

that can't have been quiet to do that much damage, surely a battery grinder would be a lot easier...

A battery jigsaw chopped round the letterbox and lock on the front door of the house to grab the keys would be more effective ... :D :p

I'd be tempted to offer that back to the company who supplied it as an example of its worthiness. In return for a free new one, of course.

great news on the security aspect,
but what I dont get,
was the fender parked on the moon while the attempted theft took place,
as you must have heard some bashing and crashing for miles - almost....

I donno, maybe I`m far too fussy with my old disco, as I park that under my bedroom window, and always leave the bedroom window open,
and my headboard on me bed is under the window,
so slightest "unusual noise" my 3 dogs let me know..

im glad it weren't knicked fela, I hate thieving bastards

For some strange reason we like are motors and 9 times out of 10 a cheque form the insurance just dont cut it

Personally, I would have just tried to pick the lock. Doesn't take long to acquire the skill.

Shows how brain dead criminals actually are!

That is totally true! The amount of time, effort and even love that goes into building our vehicals and that the insurance cant replace.
