Has anyone changed these?
Is it an easy job, can it be done with the diff left in place and can they be pulled out without draining and opening the diff up?

The bearings are above the oil top up level so in theory if it can be done in situ you shouldn't have to drain the oil.

i wouldnt as would mean removing pan any that did come out could be replaced through filler/level plug, only done them on the bench myself so dont know how difficult to pull needle roller bearing out on the vehicle

each to there own I suppose.
yes you prob could pull drive shaft and catch leakage to put back in but if you're replacing a knackered bearing I'd be worried about bits of it in your oil already...then again we don't know how bad the failure is that your experiencing on your bearings.

is yours the newer tvk000180 diff or the older with smaller bearings?

I have a slight knock/thump coming from the rear nearside, i've had it for a while. It only comes in at approx 30mph. I though it was the drive shaft which I changed with a knackered oil seal and it seemed to improve only to come back.
It was in for its mot last week and although it passed no problem the guy who did it said he thought either the wheel bearing or diff bearing was on it's way.
