Hi - back again with yet another problem!

My 1998 Deisel P38 is running on reduced power.

I have a faultmate and I have interrogated the ems fault code memory. Get the following messages:

"THE FAULTS FOUND IN THE ELECTRONIC DIESEL CONTROL UNITS FAULT CODE MEMORY ARE-:
FUEL FLOW VALUE OUT OF RANGE, INVALID VALUE, MAJOR FAULT, FAULT LOGGED, INTERMITTENT
(RPM = 55, WATER TEMP = 100)
OCCURANCES = 12.

LOOP CONTROL BOOST PRESSURE INVALID VALUE, INVALID VALUE, MAJOR FAULT, FAULT LOGGED, INTERMITTENT
(RPM = 136, WATER TEMP = 89)
OCCURANCES = 4."

The engine warning light is not lighting - at all. As in it has a fault - will not even turn on when I use the faultmate to turn on and off the warning lamps. Might be totally irrelevant.

So could this indicate a fuel flow sensor fault, and a pressure sensor fault, or is it likely to be something more serious such as a failing injection pump and turbo?

Trevor

Blown Check Engine Light bulb.....

Most lack of power on the diesel is caused by the MAP sensor pipe gundged up or split...

Check it for cleanliness and security...

Other things to look at are collapsed Turbo hoses and/or blocked intercooler...causing a reduced Boost pressure...

If the MAP sensor isn't giving the EMS a good value, the fuelling will be off causing lack of power as the EMS doesn't know what the charge air pressure is at...

I'd look at the MAP sensor and the pipe that connects it to the manifold first. also make sure that the take off on the manifold is not blocked. then I'd look to see if the intank pump is working and the fuel filter is not blocked.
If you clear the faults do they come straight back?

beat me again you got no work to do:D:D:D

Plenty of work to do - just can't be ar$ed to do it at the moment...:D:D:D:D

Thought you were working on the lower nuptial vent insertion device activation unit. Sorry Ant can't be bothered with technical stuff today. Did you get her vibrator working on the second setting or not? :D:D:D:D

Yep turned out that on replacement of batteries, you need to reset the little motor selection switch back to the 'Normal' setting before re-selecting 'Multiple O's' or the top level 'Seeing God' settings...

Obviously after I lent it you as a Prostate massager, you left it on the God mode and ran the batteries flat and sent it back.

Still atleast you cleaned the 'Soiling' off it unlike when Keith and his misses borrowed it...I know they live in rural France, but did they really need to stick it up that Goat they had invited into their 'Games' to see what happened....:D:D:D
