Hello all,
Copied this from Facebook page,

Basically they are tieing string around the crossmember or a bumper somwhere you don't pay much attention to marking it for witch ones are easy to pinch and comming back at a later date or when they have an order for parts etc. Or marking gates or walls with a small dot of chalk. I'm guessing they look for security devices or easy access etc etc???

Or marking the location of dogs or other valuables. Keep an eye out..

Hope you can see the image.. **image taken in Doncaster**
Cheers.

Just been out to check mine, all appears fine, need to invest in anti theft devices asap though, anyone have recommendations?

You need a Clutch Claw, Disklok, Battery Isolation Switch and take the seat bases in doors at night!!

A wheel clamp maybe useful if you don't use your Landy as a daily driver.

Just my two peneth :)

Cheers for the info will look into the first three suggestions, any recommended brands or ones to steer clear of for the clutch claw and disklok? How easy is it to fit a battery isolator? Is it a diy job or has it to go into a garage? Thanks

Most being pinched are just getting rolled alway onto a trailer or hiab onto a flat bed aprently . Best thing is to try box ya wagon in and make it difficult for them to get close. Driveway bollards are good..

Buy a genuine Disklok and pedal lock I recommend x-eng it's very user friendly as you simply fold it flat when not in use. Battery isolator is simples but make sure you hide the location of it as you can buy spare keys for them from everywhere. Or get a security one..

It will just slow them down. Can bypass a cut off switch in a few seconds unfortionatly.. (If one knows what one is doing..)

Cheers will get some x-eng gear ordered couldn't bare the thought of Sheila been pinched! :)

Yes you can but it's just abit of pain when you want to lock it unless you cut it and stick it to the lock.. I put matting on the outside of the lock so when it's flat on the floor it doesn't rattle or anything, and put grip tape the stuff used on the decks of skateboards on the inside so I get grip with wet boots etc..
Very good product though,
