Hi guys and girls I'm looking for some help please I'm looking for a rear cross member for my 90 td5 2000 plate . Now I can find plenty of 1/4 chassis rear cross members I can find just the rear cross member but I'm not having much luck on finding a rear cross member with small extentions ie 10 inches give or take .I need to cut it somewhere about where the wiring loom comes out of the rear leg if you get my drift . There may be a reason I'm finding it difficult in finding one with short extention if so maybe one of you could point me in the right direction....... Thanks peepe

Yh I did see them I was wondering tho if you could get them with slightly longer extension tbh they would be ideal if they were just long enough to weld in place round about where the wiring loom comes out of the rear leg that's round about where it seems to be solid again. Thanks for you input tho cos in struggling to find one with that few extra inches.

Can you not just get one with the longer extensions and then just cut down the extensions to the length you need? Excuse my ignorance if this isn't possible, I'm just looking into crossmember replacement myself on my MOT failure :(

If your rcm is bad enough to need replacing, it may be worth your while fitting the longer extentions because the lower loop will rot out next. You have to cut it anyway so may as well fit new steel as far up as you can.

Deep down I know your right but I've never Done a td5 what's involved in doing the longer extention cross member mick? I'm taking it that's the one with the top retainers on for the springs? And will I need any out rigger or does it come complete.

I'm sure but that will point me in 5he right direction....... There must be someone who can tell me what it involves on here before I start........
