I'm in the middle of Mexico at the min and have a sagging rear end

We've got a bit of stuff in there... maybe 150kgs + 3 people.... it sits low when it's empty.

I'm going to see if I can get stronger springs\shocks over here, but don't know owt about springs!

Are springs springs? Do I need specific Defender springs, or will my local Mechanico be able to find sizes that fit.... are they pretty generic?

Same goes with shocks... I'm assuming that I'll need to replace those also?

Sorry for the dumb question, but it's getting painful now as we're hitting the bump stops.

It's a 1992 110 V8.

Cheers for any help!

length lb rating and diameter are what you need, do not cut off coils to make fit as it makes springs weaker. in usa rover renovations and a couple of others such britishadlantic may be able to help

Fit a set of assister springs inside yer original rear springs.;)

Hmmm.... doubt if they'll have them here... may have a look when we get to the next big town. The local mechanicos put some heavy duty rubber spacers in for now to stop the axle smacking the chasic every time I go over a speed bump. If you've ever been to Mexico you'll know they have a fair few speed bumps.

Thanks for the info.
