I sent in my V5 to have some bits changed on it including the incorrect weight and the DVLA are asking me to provide one of the following -

A. Plating Certificate
B. A copy of the certificate of conformity or Sub Mac
C. Manufacturers confirmation of the maximum design weight in the UK
D. Design Weight Certificate

Ive no idea where to look for any of the above or what one i would be looking for. I had a trawl through the internet but couldnt find anything giving me a definitive answer. Its a 1987 90 ive got and the VIN plate states the weight as 2400kg. Just need proof is all.

Many thanks in advance

I wasnt keen on contacting Land Rover at first as i thought they would charge an arm and a leg for a bit of paper. I did however but they were unable to help and suggested using a weighbridge but i dont think this would really get me the info im after.

Someone must have corrected the weight on the V5 before as im sure i seen a previous thread about it

What weight does it say on the V5 currently and what weight do you want it to say?

Would they accept a photograph of the plate on the servo and use that weight?

The weight on the V5 was wrong. I thought about sending a photo of the VIN plate so i probably will though I don't know if that's enough proof for them.

As I said I saw a thread about it before and I think its a very common thing for the weight on the V5 to be wrong which is why I wanted to update it.

prolly wouldnt accept the handbook, theres usually small print in them saying specifications change without notice etc etc, check plating for actual figures...

Stuff it, ill just send it in as is with a photo of the plate and state that I can't find the weight printed anywhere.

I'm hardly going to lie about it
