Having had parking sensors fitted to our last few landys, disco and gaylander, the wife was a bit worried about parking and asked if i could fit some to the defender.

Ebay have a great range in every conceivable colour and just in case you forget to specify they just send black, perfecto mondo my old spagcocker!

some where dually ordered for the princely some of 16 of the queens english pounds. they looked great when they came, i was very impressed and even had them working on the kitchen table hooked to a power supply from an old router!

Beep beep beep they went as i edged closer clutching the gas bill that was acting as a wall! 16 quid for this stuff is just too good to be true, they'll be fitting these on Bm's and Audi's next i thought!

Then i read "not suitable for metal bumpers" on the leaflet, "oh dear" i said (radio edit version) not to be thwarted i began to dream up ever increasing ways involving plastic brackets etc, any how after nearly 4 weeks of not having parking sensors she has decided she doesn't need them after all!

No drilling, no filling, no wiring, no laying on the cold floor, no **** in my eyes, no bother and no messing! 16 quid worth ever penny!

Just wondering if i can apply the same logic to the damp in the back bedroom?

So i ve got a set brand new parking sensors sat on the fridge in the garage, any ideas what to do with them?

Fit them in the garage, wired to a megaphone that goes "B A N G", VERY LOUDLY, and say they're a parking sensor to stop her hitting the rear wall .. :)
