Am I in the wrong department? Just need to know how to stop the beep and flash when I remote lock (who needs to advertise - is there no privacy)

They need proper diagnostics not any old cheap stuff ;) .

what new setting do you want? Cos there is probably many and they will ask🤔, don’t waste the cost of diagnostic session most charge a lot. Which is why many of us have our own.

M switched ours to 1 push only opens drivers door, leaves me tapping on the window when ever she drives.
I don’t know what choices you have

I don't want to hear that beep nor to see the flashing light just to lock the b....y doors! (Female luddite and out of depth which is shallow). Surely there must be a one keystroke solution!

I doubt it these days, car manufacturers are in love with complication, there is probably a menu of options from which you can choose, but only it you have diagnostics or are prepared to pay a stealer.

Thank you. My eyes glaze over. How can it have come to this - appalling. Something happened along the way. When I collected it, locking didn't make a sound. Must have been at servicing. God save us from techie. Is it worth it.... Non, non, et non....

Check (physically) that all the doors and boot are locking, the Evoque has audible mislocking alert (which cannot easily be turned off) this is the most likely cause if 'it just started one day'.

Thanks I didn't know that. But yes all openings lock so not likely to be a mislocking alert (God help us). It is THE most annoying thing. I never hear this sound in large parking lots or anywhere else, except for me. Why me!! I leave it unlocked at home (don't tell)

Then the locks are functioning but not reporting their locked position. You need diagnostics to progress any further - and someone competent operating it.

Yes only on locking. I don't need to unlock as I don't lock it. It may lock automatically (?).
Just to confirm, this is only on locking not unlocking?
Only on locking. I tend not to need to unlock as as long as I have the key it seems to be automatic when I approach.

Then it's definitely a mislock alert, For info, if it only happened on unlock, that would indicate an interior protection sensor issue (or occasionally a security mismatch but I'll not go down that rabbit hole unless someone really needs to know!) There is a menu item for audible lock/ unlock alert, but your situation is not related to that.
