Defender on its roof!

Hope it wasnt anyone from here?

This morning on the A34, near Newbury, actually, between the highclere and speen junction, there was green 90 or 110 on its roof....

the poor thing looked like a pancake! i dont know how many times it rolled, but was completely flat.....like it was a convertible!

I reckon the driver was ok, as there was a young chap in plain clothes stood up near the cops having a fag...

It makes you wonder how people survive such terrible accedents practically unscathed. I wish the guy the best though, and that poor defender! hope it gets fixed

couldnt take pics though, too many cop cars around....

Looking at the tyre marks, for some reason he lost control on the left lane, skidded to the fast lane, didnt hit the central reservation, but shot across to the hardshoulder where it went up a slighly embankment and rolled.....

I was very surprised how collapsed the roof was, all of it completly in!

It scary how the roof just collapses in a roll over, especially considering its an off road vehicle, over the years you'd think they could've at least beefed up the windscreen posts and the rear quarters and tied it all together in the factory to make it a bit safer.
I sure wouldn't want a blow out at speed on the motorway.

I've seen this on Youtube videos too. Quite surprising really.

if you stop the vid at 21 or 22 sec someone in the backs leg comes out the roof window
