sounds like an air lock in the coolant system. Did you bleed the air out when you topped it up? How much did you have to top it up by?

I'm genuinely surprised heaters work in Landy's at all, the design of it all is terrible, more holes in the heater box than the fookin titanic!

Have you checked the hot/cold flap ( yes there's bound to be a correct word for it somewhere ) in the heater box?, if it's starting warm then going cold it could be moving out of position.

Hi mate, I had this prob a while back cured by adjusting the cable for the heat control flap and back flushing the heater matrix. It was full o ****. I adjusted it by moving the cotrol slide to full open, then undo the nut that holds the cable to the linkage move linkage by hand ensure it is full open then retighten the nut. Even the Doris says the car gets too warm:eek:. It still take 15 mins to blow hot, but it will do it.:p:p
