Due to a garage screw-up (avoid a garage in york with the initials MC), the lock is broken on our driver's-side door. The cylinder fell out, and now the rod and plastic lever are gone.

I can get a new handle, which includes the plastic lever fitting to the back of the cylinder.

However, I'm drawing a blank at finding a source for the rods. I think there is only one missing, from the lock/cylinder to the locking mechanism.

Does anyone know of a source?

an old wire coat hanger should make quite a few. the passenger side door on my defender has one made like this and is the perfect size. if you use the opposite side door to as a pattern to make one dont forget they are handed.
