Defender 90 Front axle

I have a Defender 90 1986 model and was wondering how easy it would be to change the front axle to one from a Discovery 1. if anyone could shed some light on this that would be great thanks

should be starait swap just use defender stearing arms and if 300tdi axle make sure you use the disco radius arms as they are wider where they bolt on axle than defender ones

whats the reason for the swop. I have a donnor disco 1 for the 90. What advantage would the swop give me?

all disco ones have wide radius arms ,all defenders 300 tdi and on

if you used 300 tdi disco axle you would have the narrower hubs so more choice of ali wheels with out the use of spacers ,

Hi Thanks for all the replies. The reason for the swap is so that i can put alloys on my defender. I would swap but unfortunately i don't think you will be getting any advantage from the swap. there is nothing wrong my defender axle i just want to put alloys on my truck.
