When you say that your V reg TD5 engine is deadlocked do you mean that the engine is hydraulic locked? Or do you mean the vehicle (defender or discovery) that your TD5 engine is fitted to is deadlocked so you cannot get into it?

As it's a D2 ES disco the doors can be dead locked therefore even after smashing a window and pulling the internal door catch will not open the door and as fitted to most modern vehicles now, nothing to do with engines Mr Ratty
