Dashboards

Hiya all,
Got a weird question for you.
Does anyone know the differences between the hard dash and softdash dashboards, (apart from the design). Are the heaters different? And can a soft dash be fitted into a harddash. I suspect the mounting points are different, and I suspect the wiring. Neither are a real problem as I can weld in new mounts and the eclectrics arent too much of a problem.
Not sure on the speedo and clocks though.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge they were very different regarding the heating & air-con set up, I believe the soft-dash's were, in effect, mules for the forthcoming P38 - the LSE certainly was when it came to the wheel-base & EAS.

The old hard dash (nice wood) is completely different to the softdash model which is more Discovery one. The heaters are diferent as is the wiring.

Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated. I dont think I'll be fitting a softdash into my 90 model then.
