Fix the fault and it will turn off 
... the tester is useless anyway for this reason as long as a fault is present cos the light will come on after the first system self check though to fix it you need to read the fault code or at least check all the yellow connectors maybe you are lucky

bit of a long shot but mine has come on twice and i fixed mine same way both times. pulled off the steering column surround brushed out all the crap (in my case mud dust mainly) from around the ring behind the steering wheel. pulled the battery for 5 or 10 mins put it back on turn the key to put ignition on DO NOT START until the SRS light go's out. i found starting mine before its done with its test makes it keep the light on. dont know if it will help you but good luck and let us know what you did when you do fix it
