Hi I'd like some advice from people in the know regards. I am military from Ukraine. Our group have D2 2003 td5, but LR is not very popular car in Ukraine so it is difficult to find specialists here. My D2 leans on right side. I have air bags rear and springs at the front. I checked air bags they are in good condition, but left one is LR and right Arnott. I don`t know if it does matter. I know that air suspension can be calibrated with nanocom or hawkeye. i spoke with guys from LR service in Kyiv and they said that car is very old and they don`t have equipment to check my d2 namely old T4 diagnostic tool. The same problem is to find nanocom or hawkeye. air suspension work normal, car rises in hill mode and back to normal. Maybe problem in ride height sensors? And what is normal high from hub center to wheel arch?

If u find nothing wrong with the rear air springs then maybe one of the front steel coil springs is faulty. Hence the vehicle leaning over.

When I had my RR it started leaning over by around 50mm on right hand drivers side, it was around 8 years old then so off to to the dealer’s service department, and they decided the rear springs were shot, ok please replace them, they did and it still had the lean so it now appears to be the front springs they told me.

OK leave it with me, and so I change the front springs. The old front springs when off the vehicle were exactly the same length, but as I already had genuine part replacements I fitted those.
New front springs fitted and surprise the vehicle was back to normal and level.

Genuine front springs £44.00 the pair and genuine rear springs fitted by main dealer £388 but then after they did give me a discount on the next full service. 😊
A yearly full service back then for the RR was just over £760.
and no problem with getting genuine parts either and in stock in the parts department.

I also thought that the problem was with the front springs. I replaced them with kayaba. It became a little better, but the problem was not completely solved.

Hi, if it was a problem with a sensor this should have triggered a fault code and the warning light unless the tracks in it are worn... disconnect the battery then swap the sensors around then the unused sides of them will be used, if it will lean to the other side then it's clear that calibration is needed . If you want to keep the vehicle bite the bullet and buy a nanocom cos it will pay for itself in no time. You can botch it up if you fabricate a kind of bracket to make the sensor's arm mechanically adjustable then you can fit it as the level to be even ...remember, never unplug a sensor without disconnecting the battery first

Unfortunately Nanocom do not ship currently to Ukraine.

Mine had this issue, pair of new front springs sorted it, had quite a few LR's with this issue, my old RRC was the same.

EAS can lose calibration but you usually get a rather drunken body lean dropped rear corners being the clue.

So long as the bags are in good condition they should be fine, the lower most part of the bellows is where they wear the most usually.
