Evening all , I'm going to replace the dohnut on my d1 very soon and I want to drive the rear wheels up on my little Ramps to give me some room underneath to work , when I un bolt and slide the prop back will I loose the hand brake or will it still work on the front prop?

Cheers

low range diff locked and blocks, if you leave it in hi range depending on how steep the ramps are or if you aren't exactly positioned it could manage to turn the engine over enough to let the thing descend the ramps.

it only takes a minute longer to wedge something in front of the wheels and could stop something bad happening.

Id chock wheels.at front and ramps at rear. And also jack under 1 wheel for when you wanting to turn the prop to refit.

why dont you just jack one side up you dont need that much room as its already pretty high up ? you dont really need the rear up on ramps.

That's not a bad shout mate I'll do that I think , part turned up today so looks like tomorrow morning Ill be doing battle :)
On a side question how much grease should be pumped into the prop nipples?

Cheers

Ive just done the clutch fork on the mrs 300 and i dont think i even had the rear wheels of the ground lol

Well what i have done is get a couple of lengths of 6 x 2 around 4 foot long put one under the rear wheel and one under the front with a brick under each so you make two small ramps and drive it up them it tilts it over enough but keeps it fairly level front to back that should give you enough room lol
