Freelander 2 (LR2) Cruise control problem LR2 TD SE 2013

Hello guys,
just bought a great LR2 from 2013, 2.2 110 KW 150 HP, motor code 224dt. Because i am from Romania and here Timisoara, where i live, are 3 owners who have this car, i am here to ask for some advices for 2 problems:

1. horn dont work, fuse and relay is ok.
2. cruise control don`t work, break switch is ok. i can`t find the vacuum pipes (if have any) and i can`t find ECU.

In rest the car have no problem, is great! 107.000 km.

As both controls are on the steering wheel, I'd suggest the rotary coupler as the first thing to check.

There's no vacuum pipes on this engine, except for the brake booster.

The ECM is under the scuttle panel, roughly between the wiper spindles, but it won't be anything to do with the ECM.

You need to run a diagnostic on it really, or you'll just be guessing as to the actual cause of the issue.

These are very complicated vehicles, so need a diagnostic read for everything.
 
Ok, thanks. I made a diagostic. No error were found. We dont have LandRover official dealer here, so... I will try to check the rotary couple next week. Today is my first day with this car, i am very impressed, a strong and good build car. I run 160 km/h (dont know in miles), and is just great.

It was a test for a lot of cars, not only LR. You could see a lot of sensors, but i dont think was a dedicated one, only for LR. I had some errors, but not about the problems i wrote. A/C motors error, Rear Right Motor break, and button to open trunk door (taildoor) is blocked.
But not about horn or cruise control. Also i bought new tyres today and i was a little offroad. :)
If i resolve cruise control problem, it will be a fully functional LR.
Today i saw a comercial about new RANGE ROVER... wow!:)
To be honest, i had no ideea the english car are so good.

The FL2 isn't too bad, although it's not all British car, but it is built in the UK. The engine is from PSA, so is French, lots of the other stuff is from Volvo, with bits of Ford thrown in for good measure.

Make sure you service the Haldex, rear diff, PTU and gearbox, or something will fail, and be expensive to fix.
