hiya

was wondering do u guys also put a smear of coppaslip on the inside of your wheels to prevent the electrolysis happening between the alloys and cast iron drums happening

as i was once told the wheels can jam on and sometimes have terrible trouble getting them off

as i found out also when i replaced my windscreen motor put a smear of it onto the wiper blade shaft

but blimey its nearly £9 quid a tin, but well worth it

just surprised how many times its used, bolts, back plates of brakes etc

yeh i know need to get out more, lol

suprised manufacturers dont think of little things like this, that can in turn into a nightmare

heard horror stories of someone having to take a sledgehammer to his wheel to get it off,

cant imagine the wheel was any good after though , lolol

I use it all the time but I have also a big wooden mallet that is used for putting slabs down and that will get a stuck wheel of every time
 
Any high melting point grease will work, only the smallest smear is required. If you are unfortunate enough to have a wheel seize on so tight that a well placed boot won't shift, All i do is refit the nuts so they are loose by one or two turns then roll the car forward and backward a few feet, this normally does the trick without fear of damaging the rims.
Incidentally my first MG ZS had greased spigots from the factory or at least the dealer!

Although it's expensive (Per tin) compared to ordinary grease, it's an essential thing to have and a tin will last for ages.
I's a lot more expensive to buy the small tubes overall.

I keep an old paintbrush in a plastic bag just for applying the Copper Grease.
