coolant bleed

hi can anyone tell me if there should be air bleed screw on top hose on 4.0 litre v8 manuals mention bleed screw, hoses i looked at ,rimmer/craddock etc are same as i have ? thanks for any direction.

Yes they should have a bleed screw if its a Mk2 V8 Disco (Td5 shape)

yes its disco 2 v8 2001 but no bleed screw should i replace top hose,ones i saw for sale did not have one either ?any ideas

Maybe you don't see it on the pictures from the suppliers...it's on the T piece which connects the pipes...here's a giood pic:

you can buy just the T piece alone...the one with the bleed screw

there is a difference between them according to MY as you see in attachment but the new top hose assy has the bleed screw in the T piece not in the hose like the old one must be...maybe your's is a hybrid from an old T piece with a new top hose...check well your T-piece cos there is a chance to have the bleed screw on the bottom of the piece as some incompetent fitted it the other way around
