Common Problems with Freelander?

Are there any commonly known problems with Freelanders?

All I've heard is that sometimes the wiring can be a bit dodgy, on the older style ones...

Just curious as (I keep repating this!) my dad's just bought himself a Freelander and we've not owned a Land Rover before.

its er good engine. . .regular oil change ,fuel filter , issues same as td4 really rear mounts easy job, if no whines then first job re new gearbox oil ,ird oil un rear diff oil , un it will run forever. . . .oh un welcome earthling. . .

from what ave read abart them it would seem the warranties dunt work so well on them
