Common Problems with Freelander?

Are there any commonly known problems with Freelanders?

All I've heard is that sometimes the wiring can be a bit dodgy, on the older style ones...

Just curious as (I keep repating this!) my dad's just bought himself a Freelander and we've not owned a Land Rover before.

its a 1998 "S" reg 2litre diesel, Mondeo ;)

problems - owning one:D and being associated with Minge and Mondeo :p

best to wait till yu have a problem - and then ask

It's a Freelander DI, 2.0 diesel, 3 door hardback.
 
Emmie - i think i sed that - but yu quite often have to explain things several times to these lads.

You see wot i mean by bein associated with the likes of these two ;)

its er good engine. . .regular oil change ,fuel filter , issues same as td4 really rear mounts easy job, if no whines then first job re new gearbox oil ,ird oil un rear diff oil , un it will run forever. . . .oh un welcome earthling. . .:) :)
