Hi all. I have a an 03 TD4. Stopped the vehicle and when I put in the clutch to take it out of gear the pedal felt wrong, stuck to the floor and it was hard to disengage the gear. Lifted the pedal manually and it was ok for a while but next day is intermittently happening again to a varied degree. There seems to be so much varied experience of this problem, is there now a more definitive answer? Will I be lucky and get away with a Master Cylinder change? Have searched but there seems to be many reasons for this. Just a bit confused. Thanks.

I had exactly the same problem/symptoms. I changed the master cylinder, not a big job, and its been fine ever since.

Hope this helps.

Hello All,

I have changed the Master Cylinder and all seems OK.
I bought the non Land Rover part from a good local indepent. Same numbers, letters, colour, shape made by AP, as was the original. The only difference was the price! Thanks for the help.
