hi all well fitted new engine new clutch etc now because we have a good pedal after bleeding using a pressure bleeder work mates think i fitted friction plate on back to front but i know i didnt anyway to put mind at rest as they put a bee in me bonnet i removed box and had a feel around the pressure plate for protrouding springs the raised side and thats facing into gearbox and it feels correct
but my question is even with a good pedal if bleeding not done perfectly would it engage gears when running they do when she's not running i could get 1st and reverse between switching off engine

also is there a mod diy i can do to the slave pushrod to make it plunge that little bit extra

thanks

seems like the clutch cover is not working properly...happened to me once with new AP clutch kit, i tried everything but ended replaceing the ckutch kit with Borg and Beck then it worked... if u want to adjust the pushrod's travel you can put a 6mm nut or a few washers inside the slave cylinder where the piston meets the pushrod

sounds like a fooked clutch kit to me
i would change for a better upgrade mate
and people put screws and nuts on push rod/cylinder when the clutch is at the end of its life (why if you have to change kit) ??????? ie bodge to sell !!!!!

id say you need new clutch cover if slave cylinder is correct one push rod is correct one ,release arm is fitted right and okay

took box off and clutch back out but you can c;learly see that the friction plate has not been making full contact as the surface is partly marked
could this be the clutch kit its LUK one

but also i inspected the originginal pressure plate from the new engine and it has a wider diameter in the centre and the the forks ar raised about 3 quarters of an inch is this a heavy duty one or do i have the wrong clutch
