If you have ANY play in a UJ you should replace it. They're cheap and will get worse quickly (see recent thread where the propshaft FELL OFF). In my xperience, which is admittedly not that great, UJs don't clunk. They make a sort of metallic ping. Clunk is more likely to be diff. And don't forget to grease those UJs when you service it. You may have to screw in a grease nipple specially to do the job (and take it off again and replace the plug afterwards).i no the feeling its just loud and anoying there is a small bit of play in one of the uj's but that surely cant make a clunk that loud can it?
i hope it isent my diff cuz that sounds expensive
