Have you checked brake fluid level? I think there's a low level sensor in the cap.

The circle, with the 2 lines outside?
Ta

Other thing is, the brake pad warning light has come on, saying the pad is low, but it isn't, it flickers on an off intermittantly, i'm thinking faulty pad? Any ideas?
Ta.
