cigar lighter died!

97' 300tdi disco
whilst in the process of removing the charger for my satnav from cigar lighter, the end of charger that plugs into cigar lighter decided to explode (not literally) i put it all back together but now the cigar lighter isn't working, before i take out the centre console is there a fuse i could check and if so where would said fuse be, under steering wheel or under the bonnet?
have plugged charger into a friends car and is working fine so its defo my cigar lighter.

Fuse A6 I believe. Under the steering wheel to the right?

I think A6 also responsible for side lights, number plate lights, radio, clock and heater control panel illumination. So it may not be the fuse if the rest is working.

thanks mate, was the fuse.sidelights,radio and clock were still working though but fuse A6 is defo blown so i took another fuse to test and put it in A6 place n cig lighter worked.

Replacement set cheap on ebay. Split mine putting a holder for something or other ...
