spotted this: Roof tent - off VW camper - but fits anything! on eBay (end time 10-May-10 22:05:48 BST)
He obviously does not expect much for it, I would imagine it will still go for a lot more than its worth.
If you want a base to work on, repair etc. then probably worth asking him what buy it now he would expect.
classic size so new covers/fabric easily obtainable.
worth a punt?
