Hi Guys, got a problem with central locking, done search but no joy.
Arrived home today, all was fine up to this point, got out opened rear off side door, er in doors tried to open back door, would'nt open she pressed fob while r/o/s door was still open & all doors locked, pressed again & all unlocked but back door still did'nt open. I tried for my self pressed fob doors locked, pressed it again doors unlocked but back door still won't open:confused:
Button goes up & down as it should, tried it with key & again up & down as it should but won't open. Tried from inside button goes up & down no problem but still won't open, has anyone got any ideas??
Thanks for any advice received.

Poss a lock spring problem but usually the door pin drops back down slightly when unlocking so holding the pin up and at the same time opening the door with the key but yours is a strange one.
You may have to remove the door card for a look see.

ALL SORTED!!
Removed door card, handle, speakers, etc etc from the inside, bit of a pain but not too bad. Took a while to work out which lever or push rod did wot to be able to open door but got there in the end. Disconnected the push rods & stripped out the lock,a bit of fiddling about but not too bad, all looked ok, everything seemed to move as it should so was a bit puzzled. Then I looked at the handle on outside of the door, when pulled it would'nt return, seemed stiff, removed the green LR badge & could see a spring on right hand end, so sprayed with good old WD40 worked it a few times & was ok, gave lock a spray for good measure & reassembled, again bit of a fiddle, as long as you have an idea how it came apart you will be ok as push rods will only fit one way. Also remember to reattach child lock gubbins & test the lock on a screwdriver before you close the door just in case of any problems.
If you have this problem might be worth just removing the green badge & a squirt ofWD40 before doing anything else, as this is the only problem I could find.
ALL SORTED JOBS A GOOD'UN.
