Hi folks,

I have searched but can't find a similar problem :) Just been out in the disco and the central locking seems to have stopped. Press the button and you get no flashing indicators no locking .. nothing. I've tried the spare fob and no joy there either, the odd thing is that if you lock the drivers door by the key none of the other doors like like they used to...any ideas or starters for 10 ?

Cheers

could you give us more details to what is and not working, ???

Well kinda like I said, everything works except when I manually lock the car only the drivers door locks none of the others lock at the sam time as they should. and when you use the fobe there's nothing, no indicators flash alarm doesn't set and doors dont lock..ta

Check the condition of your battery. When mine goes low the Disco does some 'odd' things. I'd just charge it overnight, make sure it's full of fluid first, and try again next day.

right.. the plot thickens. Found a blown fuse in No 6 slot of the bottom row of fuses so I replaced it and the car locked fine, when I unlocked it though the fuse blew again. I noticed that the rear passenger door unlocked really slowly..... any ideas ?

checked the gubbins behind the drivers door card and passenger door card but everthing seems OK.. just blow's fuses as soon as you try central locking

oh woe is me.... just tried to take the dogs out and now the car won't start and I cant turn the imobilizer off

Hi storm, yeah batteries fine both in the car and the fob.. something must be shorting cos its blowing a 15amp fuse

right.. update is that I put a new fuse in and pressed the unlock botton on the fob. This disarmed the imobiliser so at least the car can start ( blew the fuse again of course ).. going to look at the rear door next so see if I can see anything 'amiss' ... any handy hints gratefully accepted

I had a very similar problem with my 97 300tdi discovery, problems with immobilser and c/locking turned out to be green alarm ecu amr6429 i think.ended up replacing the green box and matching fob. problem solved. I did post a thread on it.
