CD Changer not working

We have a x reg 1999 freelander ES v6

Hi hope someone can help,
Son was having a paddy and was kicking the underneath of the passanger
chair, Now when we try and use cd player it comes up with error and cd
draw will not eject.
Iv checked all wires are connected and nothing seems to be out of place.

Any ideas

Put yo son in the back .

He was in back kicking cd player under the chair.

Put yo son in the boot then

Sell the child and buy a new CD changer.

sounds like the unit has gone into a shock mode (not sure if that's the right term). Try removing all the leccy plugs from the unit (easier than disconnecting the battery) and then re-plugging them in the unit should reset and let you eject the cartridge (it might spit it out automatically)

or check if it has a reset pin hole on the case, sony has theres just below where you put the cd cartridge in

Thanks guys for your help but still nothing cd cartridge now makes a noise like moving cd around but thats about it.

sounds like disc has fallen out of cartridge, best take it out (the whole thing) (4 bolts, 2 cables) and look at it on the table / bench.
