No prizes for guessing what i am going to witter on about now. That's right, oven ready chips.

Actually I was going to tell you about my jammed CD auto-changer in my L322.
Listen or read carefully because I am going to take your on a roller coaster of wild emotion from the elation of listening to my very favourite tunes to the deepest depressions of despair.

I was driving along enjoying listening to my CD when it stopped and would not play anymore!
How was that for drama. The BBC have nothing on me.

What I have not mentioned is that it was my favourite CD of "Pinky and Perky sings the Stranglers". Naturally I was heart broken as you can no doubt guess, the worse thing being that the CD was now jammed in the player.

Unfortunately it appears you need arms with three wrists and the patience of someone with a lot more patience than me, so my obvious plan was to rip the damn player out. Not so easy as apparently you have to take the back wheels off, and the fuel tank, and dig up your pond to get to the screws that have been cunningly (or a word that is a little bit like that) hidden where no sane man or German would put them.

Anyway, in frustration I gave the CD cartridge a bloody good smack with the handle of my pliers whilst inadvertently pressing the eject button, out popped the CD cartridge and Pinky and Perky were saved.

SO, if you find yourself in the same situation, you know what to do, just come and borrow my pliers.

I am now thinking of ridding myself of the CD player but don't know what to replace it with. I would listen to the radio but it is all that modern stuff like Rick Astley, Boy George and Duran Duran which is not my cup of bovril.

Any ideas?

By the way I have decided to play safe and have made a cassette of Pinky and Perky and I am now listening to Pinky's melodic version of "Nice and Sleazy"

Thank you.

I think you'll find that a good smack with a hammer fixes most LR issues :D
