CD changer and light problem in disco safari

If anybody could help it would be fantastic.

I have just purchased a Safari in S reg, found theres a CD changer under driver seat, the cassette for the cd's wasnt in, but the eject light was lit.I took it out put some cd's in and replaced in the changer Now it wont eject the cd player says "cd error" and when you press the eject button it will flash up green and do nothing, not sure whats going on.


Also there are two centralised headlights over the grill, and was wondering if anyone new where the switch was for these?

Any help much appreciated

well im a bit closer to fixing it now, pushed some card board under the changer light illuminates makes noises and cd player says no mag, but its stuck so i think there is a cd stuck any ideas????

If the cassett won't eject then run a credit card in and along the bottem edge that will trip a micro switch and the cassett will pop out, the rearrange the CD's and try again.

Hi all, tried the credit card trick it the button lit up again nd wen pressed it sounded lyk it was ejecting, bt didn't com out and was still stuck so I think a cd is half and half, any other ideas, as takin the. Changer out is a ryt pain to do, thanks james

small socket set an a dumpy phillips screwdriver....simples, changed mine in half an hour or so

Common problem So far mine has always come out when I hit it. A few times.
