Hi

Just bought a Discovery fitted with a CB Radio. Do I need a License to use this radio? and do you still use the same lingo that was around in the 80's ie breaker breaker etc etc

Cheers Geoff

not for 27 years on the 2nd of november, the 27th anniversary of CB radio lol.

Get out in your disco between 7-9pm on channel 27!

clear both ways, clear both ways, clear both ways, still clear both ways, clear both ways, keep coming, keep coming, keep coming, clear both ways, clear both ways...

channel 27 'cos it's bin 27 years.

Just fitted cb to mine for a trip to wales and back, every time someone came on, they all said breaker breaker.

wasn't that busy, bit of light radio traffic, but when I was coming back through SE London, just a load of cocks abusing each other all the time on CH19.

yeh ch27 on the 2nd from 1900z to 2100z hrs. see how many people ya can pick up! Me and gamekeeper James go up to brill hill in buckinghamshire, we can get a good 30 miles dx on most nights!

do people still call on 19 then? Barely ever hear anyone about.

it's still set as the calling channel on mine, 9 for emergency and 19 for calling... having had it on scan for the past week since I fitted it there aint nobody about... not sure who would come to your rescue if you called ou t on 9... but often a couple of old women on there in the evenings chatting on 23
