What was the USP? As you said in your earlier post, you can go laning and have a few beers anytime, and most of us have done it many times.
The USP for me was meeting other members of LZ, same as when I went to the BB arranged by Paul D.
including a nice weekend with beer and laning, going to a show like the LRO is not something that would pull me into a meet.

Cheers

There is a bar at the LRO show, and it is quite possible to meet LZ members there, or at other venues. Because a lot of them go anyway.

Have you read my earlier posts?
A social meet implies meeting up.
And quite a few of us did meet up, at the LRO show last year. :)

Fair enough... guess I was just working on the basis that other members (particularly noobs) would be like me... I wouldn' rock up at a massive landy event on my own and have to try and find a stand where there may/may not be a couple of LZ members.

Just the way business works, I am afraid.
There are hundreds of events, if you want people to come to yours instead of theirs, it needs to be good.
Your missing the point... I was suggesting a group of LZ members get together for a weekend meet... not arranging an 'event'.

Is this all because there is no canal near the LZ meeting point..LOL???

Cheers

There is a canal fairly near the site of the other LZ meets. Not near Peterborough. And in any case, my boat is nowhere near there, and won't be until next Spring.
I will be going to the LRO show in my car, or NBs Defender.
