Hi
Can anyone identify this rubber hose. It doesn't seem to be connected to anything. It sucks in air whilst the engine is running.
It's a Freelander td4 commercial 2001

yes that is a vacuum hose and your piece of paper is hiding the tank that it fits onto the end, it looks like a bellow , this will effect you foot brake ,it will feel very hard to press.
hope this helps

If so there was another braided pipe connected to it. One that comes up by the maf and across?

I had some work done on mine, fitter fitted the one to the left (with the valve thing on it) to the in questions connection, sussed this out as I had a hard brake pedal, the question now is, where does the other pipe connect to.

yes that is the part it is a vacuum tank by all accounts it fits onto the bit of pipe coming out on the right I will look at mine today when it is light

Hi guys... Read this with interest as mine needs hose replacements, but not gonna go with the original Landy stuff. Instead I am looking to replace vacuum hoses with silicone ones. Anyone know the correct diameter of the pipe..?

Thx...
