Hey

Recently purchased a defender for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Love it. He’s got 106000 miles on the clock. Looking through all the paperwork there is no proof of a cam belt change. There is only proof of a Dayco Multi RIb V Belt Change. According to google you should get the Cam belt changed every 70k-80k miles. Do I still need to get it changed if the V belt has been changed? Are they 2 different things?

If you don’t have definite proof of change then that would be my first maintenance job
Before using her,
It’s not just mileage it’s also time and possibly contamination ( fuel/ oil /water)
Get it done
