Hello all

Im looking to buy my first landy in the new year and would like some advice on what to look out for avoid etc.
Im after a 90 hard top and have a budget of around £15000
What can i expect to get, age, mileage, spec, condition for this money? What extras are good/essential for a 90?

Im new to land rovers so any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Will

if only there was some kind of search function on ere that you could find answers to qs 1st before posting that may bring up some answers..just a thought maybe the mods might wanna think about such a function:rolleyes:

If I was spending 15k which lets not forget is still 1/2 the price of a new one my main criteria would be one owner and full land rover service history, the 110 I sold last year was 15 years old and a one owner vehicle so anything under 5 years old with mulitple owners would make me wonder why

There's plenty out there for that kind of money but remember some people seriously over value them because of the toys they've bolted on, fine if you want them but most of the fun is doing it yourself

For fifteen grand you can get an amazing defender. I suspect that you are asking the wrong crowd because I suspect that most on here buy a cheap knackered lump and do it up over time and as funds allow, but I may only be judging by my own experience!!

If you want a defender for a fun vehicle then you don't need to spend even half of that and you will get a vehicle that does all you want from it in my experience. I spent around 4k and have an amazing landy that is totally reliable as a fun toy to muck around in.
