Buying a winch, which one?

Has any one bought and/or used one of these? Any comments welcomed, thinking of buying one....

If your gonna get a winch you want to rely on then you got to spend the pennies. Go Warn, Goodwinch, saley or husky. Cant go wrong with the major makes, you'll spend more but it wont let you down when you need it.

Some of the cheaper makes are ok, my champion winch has never let me down and its been through mud, sand, water, the lot. I agree though dont get cheap eBay Chinese ones, at least get a branded on (they are usually still Chinese but at least you have a uk contact and not an ebayer)

Whats the consensus on Superwinch?

my warn 8274 stands me at £1007 now and its till not pulling right

If you want one of the best custom built winches going at less than half the build cost, drop this guy on eBay a message.
Yes, the auction has ended at zero bids but he still has it and wants £1600 for it. Collection from either Lancaster or Tamworth.
And no, I don't know him.

Thats ok if your doing winch comps, for laning its overkill really, my 8274 stands me in £440 and works great

Ive got an old superwinch e10 24v, i paid £100 over 2 years ago and it has been used and abused eversince, i wouldnt use anything else
