refitted the prop shaft on the freelander.

the reason i removed it was because of vibration and a droning noise.

this went when the prop was removed.

now this is back with the prop back on.

but with it i have a burning smell after a long trip.

on feeling the vcu its very very hot after even a small trip

any ideas?

cheers

cheers all removed the rear prop and it drivs much better does not feel like dragging down the road now and has its power back.

VCU is either very tight or the tyres are mismatched. The burning smell was probably the rear diff burning its oil and blowing it out of the breather

cheers on looking at the tyres they are all diff makes.

when i removed the rear prop yesterday i didnt see any oil from the rear diff at all. or any from the front ird.
