Hi all, i have just had the prop shaft replaced on my Freelander 1 (previous owner removed for alleged economy)! The car now has a distinct but subtle vibration. The garage has suggested the uj's might need replacing. The bearings for the VCU were checked and reported as good. Any other suggestions as to what to look for?
Tyres are all matched and pressures all correct.

My propshaft isn't fitted so can't really give you anymore info on the subject but someone else with more knowledge will probably be on later and be able to help further, hope you get it sorted

Check the multitude of threads on here about VCUs. The prop will have been removed to either prevent damage to the transmission, or because damage has already been done to the transmission.

If its just a vibration, check the damper on the VCU isn't damaged. It can be removed if necessary.

Sounds rather obvious, but you have checked that the VCU is in good condition, there was minimal play on the IRD rear pinion and changed IRD oil?

Thanks Gel I'm hoping to get it up on the lift on Monday so I can check all suggested points. The guy I bought it from said he took the original prop etc off because the VCU was poor, and this one is supposed to be good, (a owu) test to follow lift inspection. All UJ's will be checked as well.
