Reet..took the plastic valance and corner bits off the D1 today as i'm getting a winch bumper. I only have the metal bumper left on and seems an easy removal, 4 bolts onto the chassis legs either side..but i noticed i have the pipes for headlight washers going through the bumper...i have the spray nozzle things in fron of the lights but no wipers..odd...anyway..can i just remove the pipework from the sprinkler reservoir and put a bung on? If so any idea of what size? Ta!

I had the same on mine with no wipers. All I did was cut the pipe as far back as I could reach, fold it back on its self and get a small jubilee clip Over the fold and tighten it up. Jobs a goodun and not seen a leak from it.

If you have a 300 series then it's easer than that, just cut the pipe infront of the reservoir you may have to plug it, remove the surplus pipe and then pull fuse 2 (20amp) in the lower aux fuse panel.
For a 200 just remove the electrical connection at the pump and make safe, unfortunatly the 200 shares the same fuse as the headlamp dip beam.

Don't wanna hijack the thread but where is the reservoir? I thought it was fed off the main washer bottle?

Reservoir "a place where a great stock of anything is accumulated" therefore the term can be applied to the washer fluid bottle, which it has.

Yes yes thank you. I understand what a reservoir is, but storm uses the term "sprinkler reservoir" leading me to understand, albeit incorrectly I now know, that there may have been a second reservoir that fed the bumper washers only and that I had missed it when looking at mine.

just to add a bit to the thread, i changed my bumper and disconnected the h/l washer pipe. i folded it and tied it with string then forgot to re-connect it when i put the new bumper on. it doesn't leak so i'll do it when i get round to it. handy tip though, (if you haven't done it already) use a heat gun on the pipe (or any other method of heating it but not a blowtorch- that would be stupid with obvious results) before you try to pull it off the t-piece- comes off easy. if you don't you will probably break the t-piece
