Hi, I'm new to the forum and in the middle of a full rebuild of a 1991 90 200tdi. At present i'm working on the bulkhead and after taking great care removing the bracket on the passenger footwell and taking the measurement which i have written down somewhere it has vanished. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help.

sorry should have done this at the start, its the distance from the right hand side of footwell to the right hand side of bracket i need.
Cheers

I can try and measure mine tomorrow for you but the outside of my footwells may not be exactly the same as yours.
I cut mine out completely, made new ones out of thicker steel before having the bh galved.
Can't see it being that far out though, just depends if I can get to measure with all the junk in the way on a running truck.

thank you that would be great, im kinda guessing it should be the same as driver side but would like to be sure.

I'm sorry, I just can't get at them to measure, too much stuff in the way.
BUT... and I'd forgotten I'd done this....I've bolted mine on after the bh was galved. I do recall (it was 12 yrs ago iirc) that I made it my mission to eliminate as many rust traps as possible.
Those brackets are spot welded on and were very rusty behind which was affecting the footwells. On the footwells themselves, which looked very good, was a ribbed double skin affair spot welded over the footwells to add strength to quite thin metal.
This is a real bad water trap because when I removed these ribbed reinforcements I found extensive rust hidden.
So I made thick single skin footwells to eliminate that problem and bolted those brackets on with stainless bolts.
Sorted!
Consider the same?

Thanks for taking the time to help I really appreciate it, Flossie I did the same as they where a total mess.
Greyhair cheers for the measurement, heading out to tack it on. Thanks again guys.
