Bonnet 200/300tdi different?

On my wonderful, perfect, rustfree Disco 300tdi from 1994 i need a bonnet as the one i have has some paint damage...now i've seen one same colour from a disco 1 200tdi...are the 200 and 300 bonnets the same??

don't Think so I pikeied the soundproofing off robinT's 300 bonnet for my 200tdi and it was different. also headlights are different & think the 300's have a small cutaway over the headlamps. & the wings are different as well. So unless someone knows different I'd guess at NO!

I know the disco 1 and 2 are different cos of the light etc...but i'm confused as to whether a disco 1 200 is the same as a disco 1 300...hmmm...

200 & 300 lights are different too.

if ya fit 300 lights to a 200 ya have to change the wings as well. so not sure if the bonnets are different. but given that the wings are, I'm leaning to the conclusion that the bonnets are as well.

Until someone turns up who's swapped the bonnets. I'd say Different.

Dunno but soundproofing mat int same. half of the holes don't line up for the plastic studs.

Might need to search for part numbers...would be good if same, saves a re-paint as the one i've seen is only £30

Rimmers only list one option for a bonnet rather than by chassis number so I reckon they're all the same.

Ok do we have an anwer for this yet as i need a new bonnet and they are few and far between here and i have been offered a 200 one

we didnt have to on me mates 200 bit of cutting was required but no body parts were changed

I have a 200 and I have had to put a new front end on it. I had to get new light panels and could only get 300 series panels.

So my 200 has 300 lights, grill and indicators. I have kept the same bonnet and wings.

My mate has a 300 and for when I looked they are using the same wings and bonnet and slam panel. The difference is purely in the front light panels.

The 300 wings do have a small bracket on their leading edge to provide a fixing for the hockey stick trim that fits from the grill to the ursine of the headlight.

Mine used to have the old skool v8 but it had to come off before painting.

200 style is definitely FTW

200 bonnet fits 300 model.
Only pig I had was alignment of locking pin.
