Don't matter to split the nut off with a cold chisel if the BJ is being replaced.

I managed to get a socket on there too and used an open ended spanner successfully too, cheetah bar on it and away it goes

yeah, but if yu can undo the nut, you can then get a jack under the nut and jack it up to assist breaking the taper .

I can get a ring spanner on it , but because of the restricted spanner space movement I can’t break the nut coz I’m at the wrong angle while lying on the floor, I can’t get any strength on the spanner, or hold it and bash it with hammer at the same time.... it’s my knackered back.

To be able to hold the spanner on and bash it properly, My legs need to be pointing out under the n/s wheelarch , but then because it’s on a slope, my head points downhill and I get dizzy.

However, I think I can manage to hold a chisel on the left side of nut and bash it in a towards the engine direction.

I’m in Newport. I’ll persevere tomorrow with chisel. I won’t be beat ...... just take a bit longer !!!

Hi Chris not tellin you how to suck eggs 2 ring spanners 1st 1 on nut 2nd 1 ring end into jaws of 1st spanner & PULL you will get it wrong 1/2 times but you will soon suss it out

Scaff pole is the only way I could get calipers bolts off!!!

Well, got exhaust rubber off ..

Bashed bolt.......till it got stuck against exhaust clamp.

Couldn’t get socket on bracket 13mm seemed to big , 12mm too small......1/2 inch?? Though I would have thought 12/13mm would have fitted.
- gave up.

Dunno what’s holding bolt in....

Other side of A frame which I thought nut was turning yesterday - wuznt

Used battery up on hammer gun, nothing moving at all. Dosed in release oil - gave up.

Looked at castle nut. - gave up.

Looked across to rubber doughnut.

Thought f**k it.
Gave up.
Cold, wet and stiff.

Nice sunny day so I finally got 2nd coat of black on o/s rear chassis.

Well that looks the boll9cks don't it! I gave that primer a go today. It's awesome stuff. Made my eyes water

It actually burnt through the screfix paint lol. I knew I'd like it when I saw it on your stuff- sets like stone.

The Bonda is good stuff innit.

I’m happy I got that bit of chassis painted. I can carry on shouting at the A frame tomorrow !!!

Might go down the scrappies for a bit of scaffold first.
