Got my first Freelander Td4 2004 3dr last week with 15" steel rims and Genral AT2s on. A few probs but the main one was the lack of tread on the tyres. Got quoted £80 a corner but got a set of 17" Vortex wheels with Khumo 225 tyres with plenty of tread and even wear for less than 4 new tyres. Dropped them on tonight and took it out for a spin. It now handles good on the straight but a bit wishy washy on bends. Should I need to change the alignment\tracking\toe-in or was it not a good idea getting these wheels anyway? Never had a 4X4 before, however the scuba\caravan\dog combination has kinda pesuaded my choice of motor.

Thnx for the Welcome. Easily offended no. Object of riducule? Yes. My other cars are a 96 Pug 405 est 1.9td with 180k, cause its green, ugly, uncool and I feel some strange affection for it, Astra 1.6 est for the daily commute and a MG TF 135 to keep Mrs Splosh happy. The Gaylander is a toy for Mrs S. so it aint strictly mine. I just look after it. Seriously are the rims okay to combine?
